Top prizewinners at the 2025 Bordeaux, 2025 Wigmore Hall, 2023 Melbourne, and 2023 Osaka International String Quartet Competitions, the Terra String Quartet is a vibrant young ensemble based in New York City. Praised for their "remarkable maturity and musicality" and "superb ensemble playing" (Hyde Park Herald, Chicago), these four musicians are known for their sincere storytelling, commitment to artistic excellence, and versatile approach to repertoire.

Hailed for its “mighty rapport and relentless commitment,” the Cassatt String Quartet has performed throughout the world for four decades, with appearances at Alice Tully Hall and Weill Recital Hall; Tanglewood Music Center; the Kennedy Center; Théâtre des Champs-Élysées; Centro National de las Artes; Maeda Hall; and Beijing’s Central Conservatory.  The Cassatt is a treasured Treetops CMS favorite!

Hailed "Queen of the Flute" by New York Magazine, Grammy-nominated flutist Carol Wincenc is one of the most celebrated soloists of her generation, a Lifetime Achievement Award recipient from the National Flute Association and a longtime faculty member at the Juilliard School and Stony Brook University. We are especially delighted to welcome her back to Treetops, where she last appeared with the New York Woodwind Quintet

American String Quartet
with Young Artists from the Manhattan School of Music

Internationally recognized as one of the world's finest quartets, the American String Quartet has spent decades honing the luxurious sound for which it is famous. The Quartet celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2019, and, in its years of touring, has performed in all fifty states and has appeared in the most important concert halls worldwide. This season marks the American String Quartet's final year together; we are deeply honored to welcome them to Treetops one last time, and we urge you not to miss this rare opportunity to hear one of the great ensembles of our era in an intimate setting.

Erinys Quartet

Founded in 2018 at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, the Erinys Quartet brings together musicians with roots in Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, the United States, and Finland. Now the Nina von Maltzahn String Quartet-in-Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music, the ensemble has quickly established an international presence, with appearances at the Lucerne Festival, the Amsterdam String Quartet Biennale, the Kimmel Center, and Music Mountain, among many others. Winners of First Prize at the 2025 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition, and prize-winners at Bad Tölz and the 2024 Fischoff Competition, they bring exceptional energy and commitment to everything they play. We are delighted to welcome them to Treetops CMS.
