March 6, 2022 - American String Quartet

Internationally recognized as one of the world's finest quartets, the American String Quartet has spent decades honing the luxurious sound for which it is famous. The Quartet celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2019, and, in its years of touring, has performed in all 50 states and has appeared in the most important concert halls worldwide.

Acclaimed as one of America's outstanding ensembles, the Manhattan based Cassatt String Quartet has performed throughout North America, Europe, and the Far East, and is a Treetops CMS all-time favorite. Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, with Treetops CMS artistic director Oskar Espina Ruiz, will close our 14th season. “Mr. Espina Ruiz is a phenomenal clarinetist, a subtle and discreet virtuoso whose dynamic control matched that of the string quartet." (CVNC). Lee III’s Clarinet Quintet is a four-movement work inspired by historical aspects of indigenous Americans, including a dance celebration of the lives represented in the various paintings of “An Emblem of America.”
